Competition Committee Discussing Adding 2nd Challenge If 1st Successful

The NBA’s Competition Committee is discussing giving teams a second and final challenge if their first one is ruled successful beginning next season.

When teams win currently a successful challenge, they are given back their timeout but are not given an additional challenge.

There have been concerns that giving coaches the ability to have two challenges would increase the length of games, particularly since there will be an incentive to use the first challenge under a system where a second one is given if successful.
