The Phoenix Suns are likely to guarantee the $30.8 million salary of Chris Paul for 23-24, sources tell Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes.
Paul is only guaranteed $15.8 million if the Suns waive him by June 28th.
Sources tell Haynes that the Suns currently have the mindset Paul will open the season as their starting point guard.
Paul suffered a left groin strain in Game 2 of the Suns’ second round series and would not have been cleared for Game 7 if the series would have advanced.
